What makes me the best choice for your marine industry copywriting and content needs?
30 + year veteran of the marine industry
I have spent more than three decades working on boats and in marinas as a professional
20 + years of experience as a professional marine technician
I have held more than a dozen professional marine certifications from Volvo, OMC, and Mercury, including Mercruiser Master Technician
Professional Captain, Mate, and Chief Engineer
I have run hundreds of boats on the waters of the Atlantic, Caribbean, and Gulf of Mexico, and I still work part-time as a Captain on the Great Lakes
There are a lot of good, or even great copywriters out there.
But how many of them speak fluent “Boat?”
If you want marine industry copy and content that makes sense to your readers, you need someone who understands the products, services, and your clients to bring it to life.
Here are a few of the reasons I’m the best choice for the job.
Experienced with the live-aboard lifestyle
I live aboard my boat all summer so I know the lifestyle and the products involved. I use and understand your products and services
Boating is my career, and also my passion
I began helping my grandfather on his boat at 5 years old and driving at age 9. After a lifetime on the water, I can’t imagine living away from the coast.
Ask me, I’ve probably done it.
I have been a marine mechanic, salesman, rigger, captain, Chief Engineer on a research and salvage vessel, offshore powerboat racing driver, and manager for privately owned motor yachts.
My Name is Chuck Warren and I am a life-long
marine industry professional and boating enthusiast.
My name is Chuck Warren and I have been a marine industry professional for most of my life.
My passion for boats and boating was born when I was 5 years old and my grandfather let me sand, paint, and hand him tools while he worked to restore his 1939 44-foot Elco Cruiser. At 9 years old, he sat me at the helm and taught me to safely handle his baby, although I didn’t learn to dock until I was a little older.
Which is probably a good thing.
I began a boating industry career at 25 after being Honorably Discharged from the U.S. Navy. For the next 30 years, I worked as a mechanic, captain, and occasional salesman for several large boat dealerships. I have also had the good fortune to drive for two APBA offshore powerboat racing teams and to spend time in the Caribbean as a sunset cruise captain and the Chief Engineer on a research and salvage vessel.
In case you were wondering, yes, that was a great job.
I am still a passionate boater, working as a captain on call for private yachts and delivery captain, moving boats of all sizes to their new home ports around the Great Lakes and beyond. I even live on my 40-foot Sea Ray from April to October in Holland, Michigan – right on the coast of Lake Michigan.
What does that all mean?
As a passionate, life-long boater and marine industry professional, I am the perfect choice to create your boating industry copy and content.
I have probably used your product, driven or ridden in one of your boats, or installed something you sell for someone else. I know the marine industry and boating products better than most people ever will.
